Mission Statement

The Collective Healing Center is an evidence-based private practice that provides trauma-informed mental health services to children, adolescents, and adults. We work to provide effective, attuned mental health services that enable individuals, families, and communities to flourish. We want to build a world that celebrates the uniqueness of each individual and where human worth is a given.

We offer a client-centered integrative approach with the goal of empowering clients to access reparative energy, to acknowledge and express their pain in a variety of verbal and expressive modalities, and to gain a sense of control.

Philosophy

It is our belief that healing transcends the individual to the family and the greater community. To heal ourselves is the journey of the collective. Attending to and caring for one another is a communal responsibility that emerges through our own adversity. It is through our own struggles that we tap into our innate capacities of strength and resilience and become future healers ourselves.

Our clinical staff is especially trained to work in individual, couples, or family therapy formats. In addition, our clinicians have ample familiarity with trauma-related issues such as attachment, emotional dysregulation, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder symptoms, and related symptoms such as self-injury, dissociation, eating concerns, grief and sexual behaviors.

We remain conversant with the current literature and effective treatments, and we offer a holistic approach, sensitive to brain development, physical and somatic impact, as well as emotional, psychological, behavioral and social difficulties. Our personalized therapeutic approaches are developmentally appropriate and maintain sensitivity to racial and cultural differences.
