Maura Johnston

Master's Level Counseling Intern

Maura is an intern with The Collective Healing Center, practicing under the supervision of Dr. Courtney Glickman. She aligns with person-centered and attachment theoretical principles and is dedicated to creating an environment where clients feel secure and understood to explore their authentic selves. She values using evidence-informed practices to help clients meet their individualized therapeutic goals. Maura combines elements from play, sand, and nature-based interventions to treat behavioral and interpersonal challenges.


Maura has worked in a variety of settings including various individual and group therapeutic services, teaching, and coaching. She has experiences working with children with neurological, developmental, mood, and anxiety disorders. 


Maura holds a B.S. in Psychology with double minors in Human Development and Business from the University of Maryland. She is also currently completing her master's degree in clinical professional counseling at Loyola University and has completed the necessary coursework to start her journey at The Collective Healing Center.
