She believes that building a therapeutic relationship with a child, adult or family is an honor and should not be taken lightly. She strives to create a safe and non-judgmental atmosphere in her sessions. She aims to curate a collaborative process where she develops treatment plans based on the individual’s temperament, past history and current needs. She uses a holistic approach bringing in methods such as talk therapy, play therapy, nature therapy, CBT and attachment work. Katrina believes empathy, playfulness and understanding can be powerful tools in therapy with both adults and children.

Katrina is a passionate advocate for children and parent’s mental health. She has a special ability to see the good inside all children and uses this perspective to help anchor her framework when difficult behaviors are presented. She has run online parenting support groups for caregivers as well as provided parenting consultations. She truly believes in the healing power of nature.
