Jill Williams, MA
Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor
Jill believes that healing begins in a space where you feel safe, accepted, and genuinely heard. Her goal is to provide a warm, nonjudgmental environment where clients can explore their experiences, build on their unique strengths, and develop tools they need to navigate life’s challenges with confidence and resilience. She views therapy as a collaborative process and strives to meet each client where they are, honoring their individual story and goals.
Jill has experience working with children, adolescents, and young adults experiencing a variety of concerns, including trauma, mood disorders, identity exploration, and life transitions. She also values partnering with parents and caregivers throughout their child’s therapeutic journey, recognizing the important role they play in fostering growth and healing. Jill is committed to creating an affirming space for LGBTQ+ and neurodivergent clients, where each client feels respected, understood, and empowered to be their authentic self.
Jill takes an integrative approach to therapy, thoughtfully tailoring treatment to each client's unique needs, strengths, and goals. Grounded in person-centered care, she incorporates play therapy, expressive arts, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and mindfulness-based techniques to support healing, foster resilience, and promote meaningful growth.
Jill completed her undergraduate coursework at the University of South Carolina with a double major in Psychology and Criminal Justice, and she earned her Master of Education in Human Development Counseling from Vanderbilt University. She is currently practicing under the supervision of Dr. Courtney Glickman and is actively working towards certification as a Registered Play Therapist.
