Linnea has experience and specialized training in the assessment and treatment of children, adolescents, and adults with mood, anxiety, neurodevelopmental, and behavioral disorders. As a certified yoga instructor with extensive experience and training in mindfulness, she believes in the integration of these philosophies to build a holistic wellness approach to treatment.
Linnea uses a prescriptive and integrative oriented perspective that is rooted in person-centered therapy, while also incorporating aspects of cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and nature-based psychotherapy. Linnea believes the most important part of therapy is a strong therapeutic relationship, and she strives to create this through a warm and nonjudgmental atmosphere.
Linnea’s niche areas include perinatal mental health, fertility issues, postpartum mood changes, parenting stress, phobias, and mind-body wellness. As her work centers around bringing healing for family systems she enjoys working with children and families around enhancing the parent-child relationship, utilizing a variety of attachment therapies and creative experiential modalities including play and expressive therapies such as movement, art, and sand tray. Linnea is working towards certification in perinatal mental health through Postpartum Support International.
Linnea is a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor practicing under the supervision of Courtney Glickman. She obtained her Master of Science degree in Clinical Professional Counseling from Loyola University Maryland. Prior to this, she studied psychology and family and human services at Towson University.
